Geography

Flag:

Cuba’s flag comprises five (equal) horizontal bands of blue – alternating with white. A red equilateral triangle, based on the hoist side bears, and a white five-pointed star is in the center

Climate:

Cuba has a subtropical trade wind climate, meaning that it receives sufficient rain (also known as being clement weather). The Eastern-side of the island is susceptible to hurricanes and was recently (2001) devastated by just such a natural phenomenon. Moreover, due to the overall clement nature of the weather, the land is fertile and suitable for arable farming. Mean temperature on the island is a nice 77 degress Fahrenheit (25 degrees Centigrade).
