WHERE TO STAY
Essentially the island has two places to stay, El Colony Hotel and the Isla de la Juventud Villa. The former is a 4-star beach hotel built in the 1950s, and the latter is a well-respected motel.

Due to its mixed history of inhabitant immigrants, the island has a large number of restaurants serving a mixed variety of foods. Notables to look out for include:

· Pizzaria La Gondola
· Ranchon Sirena
· Zun Zun.
Nightlife on the island includes several discos – notably the DiscoLa Movida – and several bars – including Carey, Cayo Rico and Mojito.
