Without a doubt, the number one tourist attraction on the Isle of Youth is “El Colony” – the international diving center located on the “Punta Frances” Marine National Park. Visitors from all over the world come here to dive the waters around the area and photograph the superb sea bottom. The diving and underwater photography here is simply out of this world! Aside from this, other attractions include:
· Bibijagua beach – where the beach sand is black due to the erosive action of sea meeting marble
· Trekking, Bird watching, and caving (potholing) at the Indian Cave
· Museums of interest on the isle include the Casa Natal de Jesus, the Far-Museum El Abra and the Museo de Ciencias Naturales (Museum of Underground Struggle)The isle also a large ecological preserve, where one can see a variety of parrots, wild boars and the iguanas that are liberally spread around this area of the Caribbean
